Central Vacuum

Central Vacuum traces its roots back to 1947, when Wehrli Home Appliances became a self-servicing Hoover dealership in downtown Naperville. After more than forty years in operation, one of owner Jim Wehrli’s ten children, Bill, spun off the vacuum cleaner business to become Wehrli’s Vacuum Center in 1988 at our current location. This store enjoyed years of success as Naperville residents came to know us as the best place to get a quality new vacuum, or have an old one repaired. Current owner Owen Perkins began working here in 2000, as a vacuum-obsessed eighth grader, and gradually learned all facets of the business, from sales, to repairs, to built-in vacuum system installation. In 2018, Bill Wehrli retired, and Owen Perkins began operating the business. In the years following, our team has grown to include administration and customer service expert Sarah Coulson, built-in vacuum service and installation extraordinaire Eddie Lopez, vacuum repair rock star Mike Marino, and marketing master Yash Nath.
