Who am I? My name is Dominic Wills. I’ve spent the last few years coming up with an idea. The idea is that IT and repair should be accessible to everyone. The idea is that our future relies on technology. This business is not just for me, but for everyone. I won’t just repair your computer, phone, tablet, etc. I’ll teach you. I’ll show you what YOU can do, without getting into too complicated topics that are.
I was born in Gulfport, MS in 2003. My parents separated when I was young, and there were many hardships they faced together and individually before I can even remember. The earliest I do remember, I was working on computers. My dad and I, in his garage, replaced parts, batteries, and screens, installed OSes, did defragmentation, and other basic repairs and maintenance. He taught me the baseline for everything I would grow to learn.
I built my first computer at 13, it took about a week to put together and install everything, but in the end, I was successful. It wasn’t much, but it was mine. Since then, I have built several other computers for myself, my family, and my friends. I’ve created plans for others who want to build their PCs and informed others about upgrades they may be able to do. The biggest lesson I’ve learned in all that time though is this: Never do something you aren’t sure you can do. I will never attempt something on someone else’s PC I am not confident in doing on my own.
Currently, I work a full-time job and I am attending WGU for Software Development. The hope is, however, that one day I can work in technology full-time. Whether that is independently or for a large company.
Technology is the future, and we exist to create.
