Product Description
Kurt’s Service Centers have been a part of the Rockford community, repairing everything from cars to medium-duty trucks for many years. We opened Kurt’s Auto and Truck Center Inc at Central and Cunningham in 1974, and we’ve been growing ever since.
We opened our second location on Harrison Avenue in 1999. A year later, Chuck Kurt began sharing car advice on The Doug Line Radio Show on WNTA 1330 AM. In 2007, Bob Perno, general manager of our Harrison Service Center, celebrated 30 years of service with us.
Owners Chuck and Ellen Kurt are dedicated to serving the Rockford community. We are local, state, and national members of the Automotive Service Association (ASA), and Chuck Kurt is a three-time president of the local ASA unit.
We joined the Rockford Chamber of Commerce in 1984. We also have memberships in the National Federation of Independent Businesses and the Heritage Kiwanis Club.
Environmental awareness is one of our higher priorities, and we continue to strive towards protecting our fragile environment. We recycle batteries, tires, scrap metals, paper, cardboard, antifreeze, waste oil, and oil filters to name a few.
Special equipment captures ozone-depleting Freon (CFCs) from escaping into our atmosphere. We also use special electronic equipment to service and adjust your car’s exhaust emission system and ensure that it meets federal Clean Air Standards.
