Computer Maintenance Service

Kurt Johnson was passionate about helping small and medium businesses use technology to grow. He found that by taking over the reins of some of their IT services, they could do just that.

In 1991, Kurt, along with his wife, Jeanne, founded Computer Maintenance Service, a break-fix business where they cleaned and maintained residential and commercial computers. At that time, the technology was new, and computers were too expensive to just throw them away and get new ones. They had to be fixed. But as technologies evolved at lightning speed, CMS’s business clients struggled to keep up. It became evident that the future of IT lies in a managed IT approach.

Today, CMS’s managed approach is a “one-stop shop” service that also includes cloud computing, cyber security, data backup and recovery, camera and phone systems, and equipment repair.

Since the beginning, CMS has been a trusted and responsive IT solutions provider for small and medium-sized businesses across a wide range of fields. But where they differentiate themselves is in the local manufacturing sector.
