Tony’s damaged auto service began its operations in 1967 after company owner Tony Damiani transformed a three-bay gas station on Commonwealth Avenue into Tony’s Gulf Service. Their company expanded along with the reputations of Tony as a good mechanic and businessman who kept his word. In 1979, Tony, the Gulf Service of Tony, changed the location into a 30-bay building at 1112 First Street in Old Town Alexandria, where it remained another 40 years. It is unfortunate to say that Tony died in January 2021 and continues his legacy at Yates Automotive.
