Hello, my name is Jon Hart, Vice President and Co-Founder of Max Autobid. Having worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years, my family and I had a great time following the great recession of 2007 and everything in between. Prior to 2007, there was a large difference between a vehicle’s private value and its wholesale value, providing a strong incentive for consumers to sell the vehicle privately and fix any issues associated with it. Since the Great Recession of 2007, wholesale value has steadily increased while retail value has declined due to intense online competition among retailers. This has resulted in the wholesale value of your vehicle being closer to that of a private individual than before, making a private sale far less profitable than ever. We recognized this and launched the Max Autobid offering. In many cases, our offer is actually higher than that of the individual.
